1930s Silver-Plated Religious Art Deco Brooch Depicting Our Lady of Lourdes

€25.00

An evocative silver-plated devotional brooch centred with a finely modelled relief of Our Lady of Lourdes appearing before the kneeling Bernadette Soubirous at the grotto of Massabielle. The scene recalls the apparitions during which the Virgin announced herself as the Immaculate Conception. Enclosed within a crisply stepped frame, linear architectural sections extend to either side, their recessed panels enriched with stylised rosette motifs. By placing traditional Marian iconography within a bold geometric setting, the brooch reflects the distinctive adaptation of religious jewellery to the Art Deco aesthetic of the interwar period.

The brooch measures: 5,3 x 1,4 cm features a safety catch to secure the pin in place.

In Perfect vintage condition. No dents or scratches. Fully cleaned, and ready to wear!
