An intricately assembled German brooch centred with a clover setting holding a seed pearl and vivid blue and ruby-red rhinestones. From the centre, the clover’s slender stem and a broader spiral terminating in a scalloped arrangement of six seed pearls coil outwards together towards the open circular frame, creating a compelling sense of rotational movement. A horizontal nail traverses the composition, its lozenge-shaped terminal set with an additional seed pearl, visually binding the individual elements together. The spiralling outer frame, scalloped inner setting and layered asymmetry reinterpret the sweeping movement of Rococo ornament with the inventive complexity characteristic of late 19th-century German jewellery.
The brooch measures 2 x 3,7 cm and makes use of a C-Catch to fasten the pin on the back.
This brooch is in very good Antique condition! No major visible scratches. Some small dents on the back and outer frame which is barely noticeable. The pin is very sturdy and in full working order. Fully cleaned and ready to wear!
