1920s Gold-Plated Art-Deco snap-links with checkered enamel champlevé facings

€60.00

A masterfully crafted pair of Art-Deco snap-link cufflinks, crafted in gold-plated brass with four identical round facings. Each facing is finished in champlevé enamel, with translucent amber enamel laid over a finely textured patterned ground, interspersed with two linear black-and-white checkerboard motifs. The warm enamel tones and crisp geometric detailing give the pair a lively Art-Deco character, balancing decorative surface with practical design. First appearing after the First World War, snap-link cufflinks became especially popular during the 1920s and 1930s for their ease of use: each end is inserted into the cuff and simply snapped closed. A charming and highly wearable example of early Art-Deco men’s jewellery.

They were designed for ease of use. Each snap-link consists of two parts, simply insert each end into each side of your cuffs and "snap" them close!

The facings measure 1,4 cm in diameter

These are in perfect vintage condition, no visible dents or scratches. Fully cleaned and ready to wear!
