An immaculate early 1930s factory stock Art-Deco Chatelaine fob made by Louis Gottlieb & Söhne in Idar-Oberstein. Crafted from white metal, finished with a chromium or platinum-like plating, ensuring it will retain it's bright and polished look for many years to come! The body is constructed from 3 articulating pieces formed to resemble intertwining wirework. Suspended from the bottom hangs a charming square pendant centred with vivid translucent green enamel applied over a textured ground, framed by a finely stamped beaded border and overlaid with an elegant openwork applique, standing as a confident and beautifully preserved expression of early-1930s German Art Deco.
The fob measures 15,5 cm long and 1,1 cm wide. The fob: 2,4 x 2cm. While originally Intended to be suspended from a pocket watch, it can easily be used as a stylish keychain or attached to your car keys!
